Begin with a few words
Enter the distinctive part of a title. “Smith” finds the Mr. & Mrs. Smith entries; “Beekeeper” goes straight to the action film. Add the format filter when a name belongs to both a film and a show. Search is not case-sensitive, and common punctuation differences do not need to be exact.
Use the year that identifies the production
The year shown on a title page is its recorded release or series-start year. A film arriving on a viewing service later keeps that original year in the catalogue. A series with a recent episode can still have a much earlier debut year.
Find a range, not one exact year
Set Released from and Released through for a date window. Leave either end blank for an open range. If the end comes before the start, correct the range before searching. All other selected filters apply at the same time, so a narrow range and an unrelated genre may leave no results.
Actor and season searches
Search an actor’s name to find titles where that person appears in the recorded cast. For a known show, adding “season 2” limits results to entries with that season recorded. It does not open a player or prove that every episode is currently offered in every country.
Save a useful search
After Apply filters, the address reflects the active choices. You can bookmark it or copy it into a message. My List is better for keeping several specific productions together; a search bookmark is better for returning to the same set of filters.
